Western Weekend, part of my Range & Run Series, is a paired print series born from life in the West, where early chairlifts and dusty back roads often share the same weekend. These prints celebrate the crossover where boots are worn hard, seasons blur, 80's and 90's ski culture and the impact skiing had in farming towns, and how identity is shaped by both snow and soil.
No two Western Weekend sets are alike. Each release is a one-of-one pair of mirrored linocut prints. Different boots, different themes, different layouts, every time. The pair ships together and belongs together. The work pulls from ski town and boom town history, boots owned by real people, and the iconography of brands like Raichle, Nordic, Technica, Lange, K2, Frye, Old Gringo, and Tony Lama. Every boot is hand printed, so natural variations in ink and paper are part of the work, not incidental to it.
